Dental Inlays & Onlays

If your teeth have sustained damage, your dentist may recommend dental inlays or onlays to repair and restore them. Our inlays and onlays are made from tooth-colored materials to ensure beautiful results and minimize the amount of your natural tooth structure we remove to repair your teeth. For more information about tooth-colored inlays and onlays in Fort Lee, New Jersey and to make an appointment with Dr. Jonathan Odinsky, call our office today at (201) 429-0097.

Inlays and onlays are dental restorations that repair damage or decay. If the damage is not extensive enough to warrant a dental crown but too serious to be repaired with a filling, our experienced dentist may recommend a dental inlay or onlay. Also known as partial crowns, inlays and onlays are custom created from tooth-colored materials like porcelain or composite resin.

We have chosen to use tooth-colored materials because they provide better long-term results and are less invasive and damaging to your teeth.

Your dentist will ensure that your custom inlay or onlay perfectly fits your tooth to restore the health, function, and appearance of your smile. Once placed, inlays and onlays are virtually undetectable and conserve much of your natural tooth structure.

Inlays and onlays can both restore damaged teeth, but they are different. We’ll use an inlay when the damage does not reach the cusps of the tooth and an onlay when the damage extends to one or more of the cusps. We will let you know whether you need a dental inlay or onlay to restore your smile.
